All About Clatteringford
Clatteringford was founded as a mail order business in 2000 as the retail division of John Andrews & Co Limited, which had a long manufacturing tradition in the Irish linen industry dating back to 1863. With six generations of experience in textiles, the business was based initially on natural fibre products including alpaca, cashmere, woollens and Irish linen in traditional and classic designs. A Household Collection including bed and tablelinen was added in 2001.
In 2001 the Company commenced trading on-line and began expanding its range into designer knitwear using new fibres and blends adding merino wool and silk into its range of blends and a new range of knitted linen and linen/cotton mixes. Customers increasingly are coming to Clatteringford for new ideas in designer knitwear.
With family relationship to Thomas Andrews, designer of Titanic and increasing interest in the Titanic brand the company sourced a range of tablelinen using old patterns to the same specification and design as was on Titanic. Customers can also enjoy the complete Titanic experience and buy into Titanic luxury as the Titanic collection has recently been expanded to include a complete range of pure linen sheets.
With the expansion of on-line sales the Company has recently rebranded its web site giving a new modern feel with easy and speedy access to buyers.
